Ballet:
Ballet classes will consist of classical barre and technical training, in a disciplined environment. Students must wear proper Ballet attire and be prepared to be focused and challenged as they progress from beginning to intermediate to advanced skill levels.
BMC Workout:
Get a whole body and spirit workout in less than an hour: Ten minutes of cardio, Ten minutes of conditioning, Ten minutes of flexibility, ten minutes of recovery, and end with a ten-minute meditation. Our Gentle BMC Workout is just a slightly lighter workout.
Dance Therapy:
Dance designed for special needs or autistic individuals to improve physical mobility in a fun environment.
Hip-Hop:
In Hip-Hop anything goes. Students will learn to move freely to the many different elements of music. Based on their musicality and ability to learn choreography and movements, students will progress levels.
Jazz:
Beginning, intermediate, and advanced jazz class are designed for dancers to learn jazz terminology, technique, and choreography based on their ability. As a student progresses, they will improve their flexibility, musicality, and knowledge of jazz movements.
Line Dancing:
A cardio intensive class where we will learn popular line dances and sweat.
Lyrical:
Lyrical, where Jazz meets Ballet, is an expressive artform, which teaches individuals to connect dancing and their emotional selves. Students will progress through level 1 (Beginning), Level 2 (Intermediate), and Level 3 (Advanced) as their technique and flexibility advances.
Mommy and Me Ages 2-4:
A class so our wee dancers can start learning pre-dance skills with their Mommy by their side. This class will alternate between Jazz (Ballet shoes) and Tap each week.
Musical Theater
Dancers can learn fun, playful choreography to their favorite, popular musicals.
Open Hiphop/Jazz Funk
A mixture of Hiphop and Jazz Funk where you can expect any type of music video type of choreography. For mature teens and adults only.
PBT (Progressing Ballet Technique):
This class is recommended for Adults, Pre-Pointe, Pointe, and students interested in improving Ballet technique, balance, strength, control, flexibility, and muscle composition. In this class we use Yoga balls, Therabands, Pilates balls, and other similar equipment.
Performance:
The Performance class will do parades, 1 convention, and 1 competition. Must be available for 3 of the 5 mandatory events to participate.
Pointe:
Students must be a minimum of 12 years old, and have completed a year of Pre-Point, and have met all Pre-Pointe requirements or equivalent at another school. Students will be evaluated to ensure proper strength and flexibility before they are accepted into our Pointe class.
Pom:
An energetic class, in which students combine dance and cheerleading with Pom Poms. We have a beginning and intermediate class to choose from.
Pre-Dance Ages 3-5:
The littles will learn beginning stages for building their dance and tumbling technique. They will be introduced to timing, movements, and musicality while reinforcing knowledge of body parts, right versus left, and following directions in a fun, uplifting environment. We offer 25 minute Pre-Ballet, Pre-Jazz, Pre-Tap, Pre-Hip Hop, Pre-Pom, and Pre-Tumbling for this age group.
Pre-Pointe:
Dancers must be a minimum of 11 years old and have prior Ballet training, before beginning Pre-Pointe. Pre-Pointe increases foot flexibility and strengthens technique and muscle tone, to prepare dancer for Pointe.
Stunts/Partnering:
This class will combine tumbling and stunts, to enhance student performance. They will learn to work in pairs, trios, or groups to do different tricks.
Tap:
Beginning, intermediate, and advanced classes teach students tap terminology and steps, appropriate for each class level. More advanced students will explore rhythms outside of the traditional tap box.
Tumbling:
Students will learn tumbling and acro skills and strength that will be applied on the dance floor.
TURNS & LEAPS:
We will work on proper technique and train our body for more advanced turns and leaps. Will have a skill level of 1, 2, or 3, with 3 being the most advanced.
Zumba:
A fun dance workout class designed to make you sweat while shaking that body!
